AVIATION MEDICINE INSTRUCTOR COURSE
The course follows the syllabus requirements as defined in Part CC Appendix 1 And Flight Crew AMC1 ORO.FC.220 (2) (i) (ii)
To Include latest recommendations and Guidelines from Resuscitation Council and EASA.
Course Aim
This three-day course is intended for instructors to be able to carry out Aviation Medicine (First Aid) Training, in a safe environment with confidence and competence.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course you will be able to:

Know the Aviation Medicine legislative requirements for flight crew and cabin crew training

Construct and develop lesson plans, instructor guides and training materials

Know how to set up practical exercises relevant to first aid, to include health and safety and risk assessments

Use and maintain different medical training aids – Resuci Annie, Medical kits etc

Know the effects of aviation physiology on the body

Know and manage the different aspects of travel heath and hygiene
-
Deliver theoretical and practical training to crew regarding casualty assessment, basic life support and other major traumas and conditions

Deliver theoretical and practical training to crew regarding other medical emergencies and conditions
-
Know the importance of crew co-ordination and team work during medical situations – where appropriate

Know how to assist medical professionals during and following a medical situation

Assess and check crew’s level of competence – written and practical assessments
