Regulations require that instructors are ‘suitably qualified.’  This 2-day course is for experienced instructors wishing to develop and refresh their current knowledge and skills.

By the end of the course you will be able to:


  • Know the updated legislative requirements within their subject area of training

  • Describe the skills required for effective classroom and line training

  • Give and receive effective criticism

  • Review different methods to construct lesson plans, instructor guides and visual aids

  • Enhance current training delivery skills

  • Have a clear understanding of the differences between facilitation and instruction and have practised and developed facilitation skills

  • Know when and how to use instructional and facilitative training techniques

  • Have developed and practised techniques and strategies for dealing with difficult people and situations including failure of check flights

  • Have improved observation and debriefing skills

  • Write effective, factual reports of performance

  • Have increased awareness of personal strengths and weaknesses as a Ground and Line trainer
